Downtown Murals
(Seventh and Westlake St, a block from McArthur Park) This mural of Selena was painted many years ago and was probably one of the earliest murals. 
This mural of "The Last Kiss," was painted shortly after we went to Iraq. It replaced a mural of a decidely latina-looking Diana. 
James Dean memorial
Cholame, CA Hwy 46, between I-5 and US-101 On a drive home from San Francisco, we stopped to see the memorial to James Dean. The memorial was erected by a wealthy Japanese businessman twenty-two years after Dean's death.
